  CORBA for Palm
PDAs Posted by on Thursday May 04, @08:24PM
from the dept.
MICO, a free CORBA ORB implementation, now supports the ability to develop CORBA clients for the Palm.
CORBA, the Common Object Request Broker Architecture, provides a cross-platform distributed object architecture for applications. MICO provides a demo client which can run on any Palm OS 3.x device (they believe) with a network connection of some sort. They also provide information on using CodeWarrior release 5 to create your own applications that act as CORBA clients. For more information on the MICO Palm implementation, this site. For more information on CORBA in general visit the OMG at http://www.omg.org.
