Nexage Inc. today announced the launch of the Wireless Banking platform based on its proprietary Wireless Information eXchange (WIX) server.

Banks can develop a completely customized WAP banking application using the Wireless Banking platform, which is based upon Nexage's WIX server. Bank customers will gain secure access to their account information using any WAP mobile phone or device. Transactions will be transmitted from the phone to the Nexage hosted wireless banking server or bank's secure WAP server through one of the regions leading mobile operators.

Via wireless Internet, Bank customers will be able to view balances on all of their accessible accounts, transfer money between accounts, view statements and look for user-defined transactions. Trading with stocks and funds, checking the status of orders, as well as news and other information services are also available. "We expects that WAP banking will be widely popular among users of WAP mobile phones in a short time, and will help banks reach a wide range of new customers," said Devkumar Gandhi, CEO of Nexage.
