  NEC Considering Entering Handheld PC Market

Japanese electronics manufacturer NEC Corp said on Tuesday and was aiming to release a wireless product as early as this summer.

NEC, Japan's largest personal computer maker and the world's second largest chipmaker, said that the portable PCs, alternately called PDAs (personal digital assistants), would most likely have built-in wireless capability and be able to connect to the Internet without having to use a cell phone.
