  Killer Apps: So Close, Yet So Far

The success of Net devices and the ubiquitous Internet hinges less on cool devices than on compelling applications that leverage those devices.

Three of those applications -- one for the home and two for the road -- are starting to become available. True, it will be a while before they become widely popular but, when they do, they will change how we interact with the Internet and with information.
